TV EYE. The cutting edge in surveillance equipment, the TV Eye is a levitating sphere approximately six inches in diameter. It is equipped with a video camera which can be programmed to find specific targets, even on a bustling New York City street. It is launched from a modified gunmetal rifle, which is equipped with viewfinder that allows for surreptitious viewing. It's doggedness upon acquiring its target is unparalleled. As Richards himself notes, "Once it zeroes in on a subject, there's no way to outrun it."

ELECTRIC HEADQUARTERS DEFENSE APPARATUS. Working in concert with automatic scanners, the defense apparatus provides the highest level of security for any sensitive workspace. Upon detecting an intruder, the system unleashing a barrage of systematically programmed blasts of energy which are bright enough to be blinding, and strong to render steel and metal statues into melted slag.

MODEL ROCKET SHIP. As with the products of all great inventors, inadvertent uses sometimes emerge. This item began as merely a prototype model of a full-scale interstellar craft until necessity provided just the mothering required to demonstrate its effectiveness as a weapon. A simple remote control gives a user the ability to guide the airborne, disc-like like device which measures approximately two feet in diameter. The model uses liquid fuel, which can be deployed as a rocket fire blast when the small ship accelerates. The remote control is also equipped with a "Destruct" button.

STAIRWAY ATTACK SYSTEM. More innovations in business security. With the press of a button, an entire stairway will explode, causing interlopers to regret their decision to forgo the elevator.

THE STIMULATOR. A truly formidable device, The Stimulator is a cannon-like device, which is significantly large, but can be handled and transported by a single person.



It emits a series of rays that can restore superhuman powers to those who've found their abilities waning for natural reasons or nefarious manipulations. The heavy, banded barrel is held together in part by large coils, which can also serve as a viewfinder when firing the device.

IN-FLOOR REFRIGERATION UNIT. An incredibly fast-acting device, the chiller embedded in the floor emits an arctic blast through vents, expertly camouflaged to match the tiling on the floor.



The unit is operated by a durable lever at floor level. It is equipment that should be used cautiously, as anyone standing above the vent when it is activated will be completely frozen.

THE CONSUMMATE COMPENDIUM OF THE INVENTIONS OF DR. REED RICHARDS

The invention in this entry is utilized in Fantastic Four #65 (August 1967).



ALL-PURPOSE BLASTER. While many of the most startling scientific advances put forth by Dr. Richards are notable for their unique specificity, this device has incredibly broad applications. The hefty, industrial cannon comes equipped with a lean, durable viewfinder and a sturdy trigger.



It has a tri-coil design on its heavy metal gun barrel to facilitate maximum power in its blasts. The All-Purpose Blaster has the capability to penetrate any substance or surface.* It is ideal for emergency use by major metropolitan law enforcement agencies.

*Note: The All-Purpose Blaster has proven ineffective against the uncanny Cone of Invulnerability developed by the Kree. If you're up against one of those, you may as well just toss in the sponge.

Suddenly!...Without warning!...The senses-shattering return of a long-lost feature!

THE CONSUMMATE COMPENDIUM OF THE INVENTIONS OF DR. REED RICHARDS

The inventions in this entry are utilized in Fantastic Four #45 (December 1965).



ICONOMETRIC-FRAMMISTAT. This is a large device (about the size of a small shed), forged of green steel and equipped with heavily reinforced tubing. It appears to include some sort of heavy-duty turbine. Despite its seemingly sturdy construction, it is sensitive to jostling. While Dr. Richards has not elaborated on the functions performed by the device, its name clearly tells us that it...umm...most likely does...er...we'll leave further elaboration on its purpose to firthofforth. She knows lots about science and junk.

ELECTRO-INTENSIFIER. This compact unit is perfect for lab work. Sized no bigger than an 32-inch television, it is an unobtrusive addition to any workspace that needs some degree of intensification of available electricity.

AIRJET-CYCLE. Revolutionary transportation allows for three to travel comfortably (pictured below). The cycle is "superbly maneuverable," propelled across the sky by "shock-absorbing cushions of jet air." Despite the preconceptions you may have about a jet-powered device, it is extremely quiet while running. It could even be described as "noiseless." An additional feature is the standard Automatic Compensator which offers precise navigation, directing you right to your destination.

THE CONSUMMATE COMPENDIUM OF THE INVENTIONS OF DR. REED RICHARDS

The inventions in this entry are utilized in Fantastic Four #39 (June 1965).



OPERATION ARTIFICIAL POWERS DEVICES. This is a series of four devices designed to replicate the superhuman abilities of the vigilante group The Fantastic Four. This consists of the following:
--An Electro-Vibra suit, which is exoskeleton constructed of thin blue metal bands and uses extreme vibrations to make the person wearing it appear transparent.
--A green, full-body suit with multiple flame jets built in which can coat the entire suit in a thin, intensely hot covering of flames. The suit is heat-resistant to protect the wearer. Additionally, the flame jets assist in the process of flying.
--An exoskeleton similar to the Electro-Vibra suit which includes metals arms which can retract great lengths.
--A full-size robot designed to resemble the mutated human known as The Thing. The robot is controlled by an elaborate remote control (pictured below) equipped with an Audio-Jector--which allows the user control to make it seem as if their voice is emanating from the robot--and a Vector Lever.



SUPERSONIC AIR-DISPLACER VORTEX MACHINE. This device is intended to aid in weather control. It has the capability of creating a vortex ray which can can generate the force of a dozen hurricanes. While intended solely for benign use, the instrument does have the capability of being utilized as a weapon so it should be kept in secure areas. It is also very loud while operating. It should not be used around gas cylinders as they have the capability of shattering the vortex if they are drawn into it.

FORCE BEAM PROJECTILES. These machines, constructed to look somewhat like larger model airplanes, are advanced weaponry and should be used with caution. It is especially dangerous as it locks onto the heartbeat of a human target to keep it on course. This precision adds to their lethal nature and they should be deployed with great caution.

Now that firthofforth is regular utilizer of this funky little corner of the InterWeb, I feel like I need to do my part to provide some important, scholarly, science-based entries to keep her mind, trained in two different fields of engineering, properly engaged. THE CONSUMMATE COMPENDIUM OF THE INVENTIONS OF DR. REED RICHARDS

The inventions in this entry are utilized in Fantastic Four #33 (December 1964).



SUBIONIC ANALYSIS STRUCTURE-SCOPE. This device is an invaluable part of any laboratory engaged in biological study. The design is similar to that of a standard microscope, although the results are far from standard, providing a depth of study that will greatly aid in the identification of a wide array of species. It also a bit bulkier than the average lab microscope, so users may want to plan on placing the device only on reinforced tables.

OXO-SPRAY. This substance, dispensed forcefully from the neck of what appears to be a sturdy red wine bottle, provides users with a layer of oxygen that adheres perfectly to the individual. This layer of oxygen is "self-perpetuating" and will remain in place for several hours. It provides healthy air to breathe for anyone venturing below water and is even robust enough to allow a user with such capabilities to ignite their body in a cocoon of flame within the protective layer (safety note: the layer of oxygen does not provide protection from such an act, so allowing oneself to be set ablaze should only be done if it has proven safe under other circumstances). Also note that the additional oxygen does somewhat permeate the skin and the application of the product involves the creation of an unsightly cloud of green mist.


As an appendix to this entry, a few items of Atlantean creation which may have influenced Dr. Richards should be noted:

EXPLO-GRENADE. The Atlantean weapon is a thick red cylinder divided into five adjoining segments. It can be launched from a hefty crossbow. Soldiers insists that one burst of this device will "stop anything that lives."

GLOBULES OF DARKNESS. Another weapon utilized by Alantean fighting forces. The globules are metal globes with a band around the center. Once deployed, the metal structure dissolves into a dark, inky substance that spreads rapidly. When released underwater, the fluid effectively blinds individuals for an indeterminate amount of time. It is unclear as to the effectiveness of this weapon on dry land.

IONIC RAY. This massive weapon, perhaps thirty feet in height, carries a force that can feel even the mightiest warriors. Besides the significant footprint that the weapon itself takes up (particularly with its adjoining globe), those considering installation need to plan for the extensive piping that feeds the device. Conveniently, it can run underground for distances up to two feet.

It is unclear if this weapon operates on any similar principles as the Subionic Analysis Structure-Scope.
