Tonight's image comes courtesy of the online genius that is LP Cover Lover.

I'm not sure if [info]whiskeyson or [info]lowstatic covets that record more.
8th-Jul-2008 04:21 pm - As soon as I get my head round you I come around catching sparks off you
bloowah
How'd you like to be stuck behind this monstrosity on the highway?

(Image yoinked from [info]eggycaption.)

If you're appropriately horrified by that image, take solace that the wide world of the Interweb has suitable antidotes for discerning cineastes.

I'd also like to note that today's "vid link" is actually far more appropriate to dedicate to [info]firthofforth than the one to which I attached her pseudonym yesterday.
19th-Jun-2008 07:33 pm - And I'm reelin' down the old highway
bloowah
I offer the following for the commentator who took exception with my recent positive assessment of Will Smith's performance in I Am Legend...

Man, it's clearly getting tougher and tougher to grab attention during the summer movie season. A title like that should arouse some interest.

(Due credit: posted by some British guys, though I found it thanks to a favorite comics blogger.)

And, no, this isn't a hint about tomorrow's Five for Friday topic. Sorry, [info]whiskeyson.
7th-Jun-2008 09:05 pm - You can't get to heaven with a three chord song
bongo
It's always fun to find an great new corner of the Interweb.

[info]whiskeyson is going to want every one of the records posted at that site. Hell, he probably already owns a bunch of them.
22nd-May-2008 04:11 pm - Got no cure for misery and if I go around with you, you know that I'll get messed up too with you

I would like to thank the good people of this recording for bringing to my attention the most vitally important Website of all time.

I have friends who will weep--WEEP!--at the sight of the above image.
21st-May-2008 09:51 pm - Oh, I don't know, I don't know, oh, where to begin

I have no interest or concern whatsoever with who wins the legendary battle of David versus David on TV's biggest show.

I am, however, curious as to who told walking embarrassment Randy Jackson--

--that it was a good idea to wear Captain Kangaroo's jacket--

--for the biggest telecast of the year.
17th-May-2008 05:19 pm - Sister, I need wine for color in my skin and darkness for my eyes
calvin
Can you identify the color of this horse?

The correct answer is dee-you-enn, DUN. That's a nice-sounding syllable right about now.

As a good Wisconsin-bred boy, I know the proper way to celebrate reaching a tough goal. Sure, a bottle of wine might be nice, but my friendly neighborhood sommelier is miles and miles away so I don't have a ready opportunity to ask him if the following vintage is good:

We've got a baseball trip kicking off in two weeks time, so maybe he can enlighten me then. Anyone wanting to engage in some additional research before that point can do so (or you can electronically visit the individual who initially brought this particular potent potable to my attention).

Finally, happy birthday, [info]whiskeyson!
12th-May-2008 09:52 pm - All your friends said come down, it'll never fly

The next time a major metropolitan museum has an opening in one of their curatorial positions, I hope they consider TV's Judah Friedlander for the role.

He's clearly got an eye for it.

Oh, I guess fresh college graduate [info]bellafantasia would be a good choice for that job, too. But if she's not interested, then definitely Judah.
16th-Apr-2008 08:07 pm - I got in a little hometown jam and so they put a rifle in my hands

I had aspirations (perhaps foolish aspirations, but still...) for writing something lengthier today, but this is too good not to share:

I think I might have laughed for a minute straight when I spied that on the "No Dessert For You" blog earlier today.
